Chalet Marie Stuart, owned and run by Caroline Morgan, is a wonderfully warm and homely ski chalet nestled in Le Petit Saix, a hamlet about 800m from the attractive, historic village of Samoëns. Samoëns lies in the beautiful Giffre valley, about one hour's drive from Geneva, and is part of the Grand Massif.
You can be sure of a warm welcome at Chalet Marie Stuart to spend some time relaxing and being pampered after an exhilerating day in the mountains. A fully catered ski chalet is offered for the winter season, or bed and breakfast with dinner on request at other times of the year. Short breaks are on offer all year round when available, and there is a self catering option most of the year.
Caroline is a qualified chef with 16 years experience in the hospitality industry and is now entering her tenth winter season running catered ski chalets in the Alps. You can look forward to a friendly, high standard of service to help you enjoy a fantastic holiday - summer or winter.
Chalet Marie Stuart is near both Samoëns ski lifts which give access to 265km of excellent pistes to suit all grades within the Grand Massif, with five linked ski resorts - Samoëns 1600, Morillon, Les Carroz, Flaine and Sixt Fer à Cheval. Off-piste opportunities are also superb.
The area provides a wealth of activities all year round and has some magnificent scenery. Some of the lifts are also open in summer for downhill mountain biking. Explore the many trails and countryside by mountain bike, bike, horse, on foot, or even by raft and canoe, while expeditions by car can take you to some of the interesting and picturesque towns in the region.
