Chalet Marie Stuart is a catered ski chalet in Samoëns, with six en-suite bedrooms, sleeping up to 12 people. The ski chalet is fantastically located in Samoëns in the heart of The Grand Massif, a range with 265km of ski slopes with five linked ski resorts - Samoëns, Morillon, Les Carroz, Flaine and Sixt Fer à Cheval. There are 75 ski lifts**, 3 Jamparks, and runs at different levels- green, blue, red and black. If the members of your party have varying levels of skiing ability, the runs will allow you to 'do your own thing' and still meet up in one of the many restaurants for lunch. In fact, all you need for a wonderful ski or snowboard holiday!
**The two lifts Chariande 1 (3) & Croix (2) were replaced in 2009/10 by the Chariande Express, a 6 person chair lift, which whisks you from Samoëns 1600 to the Tête des Saix in under 10 minutes. Also, at Les Carroz, the new “Les Molliets” 6 seater has increased capacity on the route by two thirds. 230 new snow cannons were installed in 2010/11 for the Grand Massif, 60 of which are in the Samoens area**

The ski chalet is positioned between the two main ski lifts out of the village. The Grand Massif Express Télécabine, giving direct access to Samoëns 1600, is just 800 metres down hill from the ski chalet. Alternatively, the Vercland Télécabine (also 800m from the chalet) will deliver you to Samoëns 1600 just by the ski hire shop and ski schools. Both lifts can be reached by a free ski bus which stops within easy walking distance (50m) from Chalet Marie Stuart.
Samoëns 1600 gives direct access to Flaine, Le Carroz, Morillon, and Sixt Fer à Cheval ski resorts.

We operate as a catered ski chalet during the winter season, by the week, or for short breaks. It is also possible to rent the entire chalet for a full week if you are looking for self catering accommodation in Samoëns outside of the ski season.
Ski passes, skiing lessons and equipment hire
A variety of ski passes is available, including special 6 day family passes and rechargeable passes. - Ski and snowboarding schools can provide individual or group lessons

- The Nursery 'Les Loupiots' which takes children from 3 months to 6 years will also arrange ski lessons with private shuttles
- A number of companies provide an equipment hire service

Santa Claus visits the village on Christmas Eve or you may want to dance in Samoëns at Hogmanay. In February there is a weekly 'Savoyard Day' with traditional games, a giant tartiflette and a dance. On Easter Monday you can hunt for eggs hidden in the village.
Remember that you should have insurance for all winter sports. Mountain rescue can be very expensive!
